Wheelers' Road Race - Help Needed!

Your club is one of the few to organise a full road race. This is quite a spectacle with motorcycle escort, cars carrying the British Cycling "Commissaire" and providing race service, and marshals at road junctions. There will be about 60 riders completing 7 laps of a course near Codicote - 63 miles in total.
We organise all of this - specifically John Pearson and Paul Stewart organise it but they need help from Club members! Please read John's message below and see if you can help, even in a small way.

LAST CHANCE POINTS GRABBER – the 52 ^nd annual road race of the Herts. Wheelers
Sunday 27 ^th September . Race 8.45 – 11.30. Help needed between 7.30 am and 1.00 pm.
Attached is the schedule of all the help we need to run this race - our premier racing event. Several tasks are already allotted to experienced members who have all helped many times before. But there are still many crucial jobs, as yet unfilled. These are shown highlighted red and TBC.
Some tasks may be shared **; some people may be able to do 2 or more, eg. the less appealing job of parking steward can be rewarded with riding shotgun in one of the race vehicles. The committee think it’s a good idea to schedule the timing for each task – some are quite early. You may not need to be out for very long. There is a club cycle ride available afterwards.
Please offer YOUR help now. Don’t worry if you have never helped at a race before, this is your chance to meet other members and help with a CLUB promotion. You will be sent a detailed job description and there will be a briefing meeting at Allenburys on the Thursday evening before event day.
However, this is a once a year event and also a social occasion when you can meet other club members who you may not see very often. If you are with us all morning, the event HQ provides a bar from noon where you can have your lunch with us and the club President will buy you a drink.
