The final scores are in (subject to any appeals)…. Based on the Facebook discussion from the week of 24th August when Valdis led the ride, the judges have made a decision - Nikki, Paul and Barry are given 0.8 points for that ride. Despite this setback, the winner of the inaugural Herts Wheelers Wednesday Night Summer Medal is (drum roll please) …Nikki King. Many congratulations to Nikki who turned out for 15 rides out of a possible 18 making it a well-deserved victory. Congratulations also go to Paul for 2nd and Valdis for 3rd place. Honorable mentions for Danny and Jasper Mason, and to Barry who kept up the competition until near the end. Overall 38 members and new guests turned out for at least one ride showing the popularity of these rides, with an average of 9 riders per week. Thanks to all the ride leaders and the many of you who came along for a ride in the lanes on a summer evening. See you next summer (but hopefully before that on a Sunday ride or club time trial).
