The Herts Wheelers Tourist Trophy competition is being relaunched. This competition is aimed at (gently) testing your navigational prowess and is open to all members of HWCC, so long as you can find another club member to cycle with! So take a look at the information on the posters and get registered! The winning team will be awarded with the Tourist Trophy and receive all the associated glory and adulation from their club mates. This competition has been kindly sponsored by Stanley Bridge Cycles and each team that completes the competition will be entered into a prize draw for 2x £50 vouchers to be used at the shop.

Although navigation was the first part of competition, completing the ride and finding the clues and answering the questions earned points which would ultimately decide the victorious team. And so, we have our results: In 4th place with 12 points is Team We Shouldn’t Get Lost with Carolyn and Peter Kelleway. Carolyn is recovering from knee surgery so special thanks for making the effort (in that situation, I would be recovering on the sofa with crisps). 3rd spot goes to Team Knight of Sonia and Graham Knight with 19 points , well done. 2nd place, despite having earned 10 bonus points for the longest ride and longest riding time, goes to Team Merry Peddlars of Ian Bembridge and Denis Bassom with 34 points . So that leaves our victors as Team Leaving It To The Last Minute of Peter Bloomfield and Brian Hill with an impressive 42 points , which wins them the coveted Tourist Trophy! Well done Peter and Brian!!
All our teams will now be entered into a prize draw to win 2 £50 vouchers to be spent at Stanley Bridge Cycles in Cheshunt, our sponsors for this competition.
