Category 6 ride led by Tony Dos Santos
The only way we can get to Great Canfield on a category 6 ride is to start from Much Hadham. So, I decided to go from there at 9. Normally from this start point there’s a nominal turn out, but not today as twelve riders in total turned up. Really good, mostly because everyone knows we were going to the Polo Club.
We set off bang on nine. I decided to go up my favourite Much Hadham hill, in spite which there was not a single moan; that’s because the 6’s are well ard’!
We were close to Great Canfield and all turned right into Green Street, which is about three miles from the Polo Club. All was well. I looked behind and everyone was there. We got to the cafe, ordered our food and after about 15 minutes, David Smith turned up. He must have ridden straight past the turning. I felt awful as poor David had gone a couple of miles further than needed. A humble apology to David for missing him.
We took our time eating the lovely food. As the fessionals (FCUK) were all present, we held an impromptu meeting, which lasted about four seconds. The meeting was adjourned as Cazza was too busy arranging a social event with Becks. We rode off around midday with only 13 miles to ride.
Not a single mechanical today or puncture. I don't think anything of note happened today. Well apart, from me losing David, but that's normal losing someone, isn't it!
I bet you can't guess where I wrote this? Answers: On a psychedelic postcard with a real image of a fairy or gremlin!
Over and out, love and kisses.
