Category 6 ride led by Carolyn Kelleway
There was a good turn out of determined Cat 6ers ready and prompt at Much Hadham on a very foggy cold January morning.
Nine off on a very pleasant ride through the beautiful countryside of Perry Green, Allen’s Green through Sawbridgeworth to Matching Tye and Green.
All very uneventful until about 2 miles short of the cafe stop poor Tony got a puncture! But in typical Tony fashion it was sorted quickly and we were off to The Polo Club for a lovely lunch. Most had the sandwiches with chips and salad. The salad deliciously covered in sauce! Otherwise known as dressing, Mr DS.
Off we set to find the fog had been replaced by a beautiful sunny afternoon.
Just after we rounded Hatfield Forest there was another puncture. Five riders decided to ride on and a loyal four stayed and the journey back to Much Hadham was completed in the sunshine.
Well done everyone - a lovely ride, great cafe and company.
