Club Runs Sunday 13th March 2016

Cat 6 run led by Mike E
Nine meandered to and from the golf centre at Wandon End near Luton. The group welcomed Cathy P, back after an arm injury, and John P, at the cafe who joined us after his ride. No incidents in bright but nippy weather. 36 miles.

Cat 5 - PW
Needing to return earlyish, I piggy-backed onto the Cat 6 express but changed tracks at Wheathampstead.  A quick break at Charlie's (or whatever they are called now) and then a fast return via Ayot Green.

Cat 3 run led by Peter B

 Bright cold start and nine set out in full knowledge of the hills to come (well, eight really because one knew he needed to turn for home early).  Very pleasant ride with nothing much to report; following the club Audax route up, down, up, down, that sort of thing until it was up, up, up to get us to the café at the Dunstable Downs visitor centre where we could admire the view from the highest point in Bedfordshire (not saying much, I know) and top up on calories.  Although the return journey via Markyate, Kimpton and Welwyn was overall downhill it still had some nasty climbs to throw at us together with an occasional headwind.  However with the Adrian/Mark  engine on the front we made good progress and everyone made it back to Hertford in one piece, success!
