Clubruns 13th July

Three on the fast, two on the med\fast, eight on the med and twelve on the easy.  The med was supposed to go to the end of the world but was aborted due to the seriously foul weather that never arrived.  So it met up with the easies at Whitwell.  Some riders swapped rides.
Club medium 55 miles at 14mph to Emily's with the polite, civil group made up of DarrenW, PeterW, RichardF, ChrisB, BarryP & AlexP.   JohnMc was with us too.  Last minute change of plan required.  On the hoof, improvised hilly route to arrive 30 minutes after easy's.  So of course, due to punctures in the easy group, we all arrived at the same time for passport style queueing.  PW switched to easy on the way back but helpfully provided two guests from the easy group which built in regular rest stops to allow John to simultaneously heat up and cool down.  Skillfully kept north of Stevenage until heavy showers went through for a fastish, wind assisted run for home.
Although PW switched groups, he did run into a painful problem as one of his cassette rings snapped.  After that, gear changing was a non existent pastime although he did miss out on all the rain.
