Come and Try Ride - 1st June

A very pleasant afternoon for the Evans and Rider families led by JRVP from Allenburys to Braughing and back, 6 of us on 5 bikes.
The ride was enhanced by fine weather and the recently pothole-repaired (mostly) lanes as we followed part of the WToB route from Ware along Cold Christmas Lane to Rush Green and down to Much Hadham, then over Bromley hill to turn down again to Standon. A quick spin across the strangely quiet A120 (we must have caught a lull in the airport traffic) to Puckeridge then a well-earned tea of home made cake, juice and tea at Braughing village hall.
Moya and Lewis were there to greet us for a family reunion. The ride back was more traditional, taking in Barwick ford, Bakers End, Babbs Green and Fanhams Common. 24 miles round trip.
