Coffee Morning Bike Ride

Raising money for two local cancer charities; Cancer Hair Care and Macmillan Cancer Support with the event base at the Brewery Tea Rooms Walkern & The Walkern Primary School, High Street Walkern, Hertfordshire SG2 7NS.

There will be a Children’s Cycle event:

• Go Ride Racing (for beginners and riders who have raced before), for ages 6-16 (£5 entry on the day)
• Girls Only Go Ride Racing (£5 entry on the day)
• Balance Bike have a go circuit (free/bikes provided)
• Have a go Mountain bike circuit (free/bikes provided)

About the bike rides - We are offering two different distances for this event. Both routes start and finish on the same roads but the middle follows different routes.

Long Bike Ride - Full Coffee: 50 Kilometers

Route: From Walkern to Halls Green, Weston, Great Ashby, Graveley, Great Wymondley, Preston, King’s Walden, Whitwell, Codicote, Woolmer Green, Datchworth, Bragbury End, Aston and back to Walkern.
Event start time - Please arrive by 9.45am for a 10.30am cycle start

Short Bike Ride - Espresso: 20 Kilometers

Route: From Walkern to Halls Green, Weston, Great Ashby, Stevenage, Aston and back to Walkern. 
Event start time - Please arrive by 10.00am for a 11.00am cycle start
We will of course be grateful for all the support that can be given with this although cyclists don’t really need an excuse to stop for some coffee and cake!
