Category 6 ride led by Daniel Horn
A northerly outpost was the start, so I was expecting just a few riders. By 9.30 we had 14 and I sensed the tea stop was going to be a tight fit for all and bikes. A cold and windy morning, with David huddled in the bus shelter keeping out of the wind, it was time to get going. Time flew by and before you could say Wicken Bonhunt, we were in Wicken Bonhunt. After a brief discussion, the tea stop was switched to the Sparrows farm shop as there was a lovely big tent/marquee where we would all fit nicely; only there wasn’t! It succumbed to the stormy weather in January and is no more. No matter, we fitted in wherever we could and nosh was had. When all was nearly done our farm hostess donated 12 huge sausage rolls - citing that they were overcooked - actually they were perfect and they all disappeared in about 10 seconds. The return journey was very flat (for me & Eeezy) but not for others, but was otherwise uneventful.
