Club run reports - 14th September

Ten riders turned out at the shockingly early hour of half past eight, despite yellow weather warnings for rain and wind, for an early assault on Mount Robins Nest and elevenses at the golf club.

Naturally, the weather was excellent. The ride was notable for there being absolutely no incidents at all apart from Denis and Gemma being abducted by aliens a couple of times. Despite this, all made it to Essendon Golf Club, which provided a large table for us all to sit together and very respectably sized baps for the bacon, eggs, sausages and sauces of choice.  The ingredients were good, though perhaps a bit of butter would have been nice.

On the way back those of us not subject to abduction eschewed the route planned through Hertford town centre to slip through Balls Park and back through Hertford Heath.  All arrived back dry and satisfied before 1 pm.
